I am still getting the suspension fault amber light coming on after bout 1 minutes driving. There is also a green light at start up showing a vehicle going down a slope. Has anyone got more ideas on whether this is a real suspension fault or linked to a switch or wiring gremlin? The car suspension seems fine. Julie : 3rd Sep 2014 8:25 am Air suspension. Another of the common Land Rover Discovery 4 problems is faulty air suspension. Originally launched as a more utilitarian version of the Range Rover in the 1980s, despite the luxuries, the Discovery line still has features that make it a suitable all-terrain vehicle. One of these is the inclusion of air suspension. Airbags have no sensors thus can not "throw" a code. The system does indeed monitor tank pressure and how fast it reaches operating pressure. The C1A20 code you have received is due to the compressor not being able to fill the reservoir fast enough. I don't think I have read of a reservoir leaking on any model. Jun 11, 2012. Posts. 106. Reaction score. 1. Amber alert Normal Height Only. Fault code pulled with Faultmate is C1A20 - pressure increases too slow when filling reservoir (Intermittent algorithm based failure) It seems most of these are a dying compressor - this in my 07 LR3 which to my knowledge has the original unit. I tried running the system with the air hose from downstream of the suspension relief valve block disconnected (valve block adjacent to compressor) this gave a different fault that the pressure wasn't rising quickly enough. Using the IID tool I have tried raising suspension via the valve control module, but no success. SYMPTOM: System detects extended mode unnecessarily when lowering. POSSIBLE CAUSES: Crossed gallery and air spring pipes. Incorrect valve block installed to front or rear. Damage or blockage in air harness. ACTION: Refer to the guided diagnostic routine on the approved diagnostic system. U3003-62 (28) Battery voltage - Algorithm based failure - signal compare failure. RLM-Suspension. C1A06-1C (AF) Rear right height sensor - General electrical failure - circuit voltage out of range. I cleared the fault the first time and been driving around without problems. But it happened again today (so twice within 24hrs). The rear anti-roll bar bushings were causing the rear thumping noise. I also changed these myself and this instantly cured the problem. Suspension fault light still intermittently is on--aside from not being able to adjust the suspension while the fault is active, there is no problem, so not going to worry about it. .
